We can live out what we want to see in the world
True diplomacy = safety
We have to decide what work is ours.
The world we build will need a greater focus on care
Saying no is saying yes to your work, to what you need and what you want.
Sometimes curiosity doesn’t feel safe; just opening the news…
Life provides some cruel limits
Overwhelm shuts us down
Example - we’re not here to service the machine
Curiosity just requires that you turn your head an inch

Blogs are an old tool that might be repurposed for lateral thinking
Alan Jacobs writes about blogging as an opportunity for lateral thinking with seasoned technology—finding new and unexpected ways to use old technologies (that have clear uses and lower costs). He argues that blogs are an old tool that might be repurposed for lateral thinking, where something could be planted and allowed to grow, rather than needing to be a finished/polished idea.
He points out though that it hinges on our ability to let go of the expectations for a “blog” and to go “in for a good deal of gardening.”
