Austin Kleon explores the idea that our interior—the soul’s season—doesn’t always match the exterior— the solar season. Using a circular diagram of the solstices and equinoxes, he maps stages of life (childhood, adolescence, maturity, old age) and phases of creativity (planting, growing, harvesting, resting) onto the natural calendar.
